Republican Pat Rodgers is the victor in the race for District 3 Jefferson County commissioner.
Rodgers, 63, held a nearly 20 percent lead over Mark Rose, the Democratic candidate, from the onset of ballot counting.
Of 7,480 ballots counted Tuesday night, Rodgers had 4,299 votes, 59 percent, compared to Rose’s 2,908 votes, 40 percent.
An unknown number of late mail-in and poll votes remained to be counted. The next vote count will be Friday.
