PORT TOWNSEND — Confessed killer Ryan Neil Sorensen apologized to the family of the man he killed in Port Hadlock on April 29.
But the words fell on deaf ears because they had left the courtroom before he started to speak.
Sorensen, 31, of Spanish Fork, Utah, was sentenced to 84½ years in prison by Judge Thomas Majhan during Thursday’s hearing.
Sorensen repeatedly stated that he feared God’s punishment more than the courts.
“You’ll give me the life sentence; God will give me the eternal one,” Sorensen told the judge.
