United Good Neighbors of Jefferson County has raised $144,877 in the fund-raising campaign that will benefit 34 agencies in the county.
UGN’s goal is $260,000 and officials said Monday that they are hopeful they’ll meet the goal by the close of the campaign.
“The official end of the campaign is at the end of the current year,” said Carter Huth, communications chair of United Good Neighbors of Jefferson County. “We collect money and add it to this campaign through the end of July.”
Huth said this year’s pace is about $7,000 less than what the campaign had raised last year at this time.
“We have pledges that will come in through the next six months,” Huth said. “We are hoping we will meet our goal.”
