Months of speculation about who might be running for offices in Jefferson County ends next week as official candidate filing takes place Monday through Friday.
Candidates wanting to file by mail have been able to do so since July 12, but Jefferson County Auditor Donna Eldridge said no one used that method.
There are two county commissioner positions, a Superior Court judge position and a public utility district commissioner post on this fall’s ballots.
In addition, voters will elect precinct committee officers.
Only the county commissioner offices are partisan.
All candidate filings must take place in the County Auditor’s Office in the courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
