Jefferson County adults between the ages of 18 and 34 are less likely to have health insurance than their peers statewide, part of a year-long survey released Thursday shows.
Younger adults in Jefferson County are also less likely to have a regular doctor, the survey shows. But they appear to be more physically fit than their peers, even though they are more likely to drink and smoke.
The results are the second part of a behavioral survey of 600 county residents conducted last year.
The survey was commissioned by Jefferson County and Port Townsend.
Local health officials plan to use the data to shape future health-care services.
