JOYCE — The apparent failure of this week’s replacement maintenance and operations levy for the Crescent School District won’t affect staffing.
But it will mean cuts in extracurricular activities and delays in updating curriculum.
The $1.01 million levy would have collected $246,851 in 2004 and 2005, and $259,193 in 2006 and 2007.
Since the levy failed twice this year, the measure cannot be put on the ballot again for 2004 collections.
Superintendent Rich Wilson said Wednesday the lost revenue means the district’s cycle for updating curriculum — about every seven years — will likely be delayed a year.
