JOYCE — Today is the deadline to return ballots for the Crescent School District replacement maintenance and operations levy election.
Crescent officials are asking residents within district boundaries to approve a four-year $1.01 million maintenance and operations levy.
State law requires a 60 percent “yes”‘ vote for a school levy to pass.
Of the 1,578 ballots issued, 51.9 percent had been returned as Monday.
Ballots must be postmarked today, or deposited by 8 p.m. in the dropbox at the couty Courthouse in Port Angeles.
Ballots received today will be opened and counted Friday, along with those received in the mail during the next few days.
