PORT ANGELES — Both information and hands-on activities will be offered at 38 booths at the 20th annual Kiwanis Kids Fest on Saturday.
The free event, sponsored by the Port Angeles Kiwanis, will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St.
Zumba dance, modern ballet, yoga and other physical activities will be offered, as will art activities from the Clallam County Family YMCA Community Art School.
The Coast Guard plans to have a 25-foot boat on display, while the Port Angeles Fire Department will show a ladder truck and Clallam County Fire District 2 will have a medic unit.
Dancing, making bookmarks, chair massage for children, beanbags, face painting, free books, a petting corner, fly tying, playdough fun, mask making and a variety of other activities are scheduled.
A new feature will be Block Fest, which allows parents to explore five types of blocks and activities with their children.
