PORT ANGELES — Radio station KONP expects to be back on the air on the AM band on Friday after repairing problems with its transmitter.
The AM transmitter, from which the station broadcasts at 1450 kilohertz, failed Saturday night.
KONP has been simulcasting its programming — which includes Seattle Mariners games and national talk-show host Rush Limbaugh — uninterrupted on its FM transmitter at 102.1 megahertz and via www.konp.com.
