PORT ANGELES — Brian Kuh, president of the Clallam County Economic Development Council, has stepped down temporarily as the organization’s president to tend to family matters.
Kuh asked the EDC’s vice president, Ken Hays, to fill in for him at the next organization’s board meeting April 24, Kuh said in an email.
“I had a death in the family and will be out of town attending the funeral then,” Kuh said.
He said he asked Hayes to assist with some EDC board tasks prior to the board meeting.
Kuh will return to his duties as board president by May 1.
Kuh, a former Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce president and current board member, remains on the chamber board, Executive Director Russ Veenema said Tuesday.
“I advised the board Brian had stepped down as EDC president for the moment,” Veenema said.
Rumors had been circulating that Kuh was resigning his position.
