LA PUSH — A La Push police officer was uninjured when he rolled his patrol vehicle on state Highway 110 while responding to a call.
Officer Michael L. Palmer, 38, of Forks was driving west at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday with his lights and sirens activated when the vehicle went into the shoulder to the right while entering a curve near mile post 4 a few miles outside of La Push, according to the State Patrol report.
The vehicle continued onto the shoulder and into a ditch, struck a tree, and then Palmer swerved hard to the left, going back into the roadway and rolling the vehicle.
The patrol vehicle came to rest on its top and blocked the westbound lane.
Palmer was wearing a seatbelt. There were no citations.
The vehicle was listed in the report as totally destroyed.
