Lake Crescent road work slated next week

PORT ANGELES — Maintenance crews from the state Department of Transportation will cut back trees, clear brush and repair guardrails on U.S. Highway 1o1 along Lake Crescent from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Drivers can expect alternating single-lane traffic at two separate work sites between mileposts 221 and 231, according to a WSDOT press release.

Travelers should plan for stops up to 30 minutes and a pilot car escort through each work zone.

Travelers also will encounter one-way alternating traffic at Wisen Creek Road near milepost 210, west of Lake Crescent, for fish passage work.

The department advises travelers to use the Elwha River Bridge detour route along state highways 112 and 113.

Real-time traffic information is available at www.wsdot.com/traffic or by downloading the WSDOT app.
