Last call for all-ages photo with Santa at Port Angeles Swain’s

PORT ANGELES — Today is the last day to get photographs with Santa at Swain’s General Store — and all ages are welcome.

During the fundraiser, children and families can pose with Santa at the store at 602 E. First St. from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The youngest visitor that Santa, played by Bill Barrett, ever had on his lap visited Thursday during the benefit for the Olympic Medical Center Foundation.

Zaedyn Lok was born just 17 hours earlier at 2:25 a.m. Thursday morning at Olympic Medical Center.

Christina Sampson, the boy’s mother, visited Santa on Dec. 10 with her two other children for a photo session, she said.

She promised Santa then that she would return with her newborn if it was born before Christmas.

She and the newborn’s father, Shawn Lok of Port Angeles, returned Thursday to share the 8-pound 5-ounce baby boy with Santa.

Sampson said she now has a before- and after-birth photo with Santa, she said.

The benefit began Nov. 17.

Swain’s buys one 4-inch-by-6-inch photo of each of those who pose from the Olympic Medical Center Foundation and provides it free to the family.

Visitors also can instantly view their image and purchase additional photographs and Christmas cards with their personalized photo, said Bruce Skinner, executive director of the foundation, which provides funds for equipment and patient services at Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles.
