OLYMPIA — If you want to vote in the Nov. 4 election but you haven’t registered, today is the deadline to register in person at your county elections office.
The North Olympic Peninsula’s elections offices are located in the auditor’s offices in the county courthouses in Port Townsend (1820 Jefferson St.) and Port Angeles (223 E. Fourth St.).
The Jefferson elections office is open today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Clallam’s is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Registered voters in the state of Washington are required to be citizens of the United States; have lived in Washington state for at least 30 days; be at least 18 years old by Nov. 4; and have had their voting rights restored if they were ever convicted of a felony.
Federal and state law requires citizens to provide identification to vote, such as a Washington driver’s license or Social Security number.
Other IDs are also valid under the law.
