Leskinovitch named president of Olympic Medical Center hospital commissioners

PORT ANGELES — Jim Leskinovitch was elected 2005 president of the Olympic Medical Center’s seven-member board at a meeting of the hospital commissioners Wednesday.

He replaces Dr. Jorgen Quistgaard in the one-year position as chairman of Clallam County Public Hospital District No. 2 commissioners.

Leskinovitch, a Coast Guard retiree who lives in Port Angeles, is the district’s at-large commissioner. His current elected term expires in December 2009.

“I hope I can do half the job you’ve done,” Leskinovitch said to Quistgaard following his election during Wednesday’s meeting at Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles.
