SEQUIM — The Olympic View Community Foundation and the Seattle Foundation will accept letters of inquiry for the 2024 Benjamin N. Phillips Memorial Fund grant cycle through May 15.
The grants are only available to organizations based in or serving Clallam County.
The letter of inquiry is the first part of the two-step application process.
Interested organizations should submit a letter using the template provided by the Seattle Foundation at https://www.grant interface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=seattle.
Letters that meet Phillips funding criteria will be notified in mid-June and invited to submit a full grant application by July 12.
The Benjamin N. Phillips Memorial Fund is a legacy gift of Benjamin Phillips, a Clallam County resident and business leader, and awards grants annually to a broad range of charitable organizations that serve the county.
In 2023, the fund donated $80,000 to the renovation of the Sequim Branch Library and sponsored youth workshops at Olympic Theatre Arts.
The fund previously donated $18,000 in 2017 to the North Olympic Library System for the purchase of a Prius to support outreach programs on the West End.
