Clallam commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will open bids for the Lower Dungeness River floodplain restoration and levee realignment project during their weekly business meeting Tuesday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• A discussion regarding the county’s level of involvement with Washington State Association of County’s Legislative Steering Committee workgroups.

• A resolution to call for a public hearing regarding a five-year extension of the Elizabeth Lane and Sunshine Acres franchise agreements with the Washington Water Service Company.

Jefferson commissioners

The three Jefferson County commissioners will conduct a workshop on burn bans at a meeting that will begin at 9 a.m. Monday.

The commissioners will hear an update on COVID-19 from Dr. Allison Berry, health officer for Jefferson and Clallam counties, at 9:45 a.m.; consider a resolution to legally bind the county to the Hoh River Resiliency-Linder Complex Reach project; conduct a workshop on courthouse security; and conduct a workshop on JeffCom911.

Items on the consent agenda include a notice of public hearing regarding the Cape George Colony no-shooting area set for 10:30 a.m. June 21, a resolution regarding a new policy to preserve survey monuments on county rights-of-way, a agreement regarding state and federal funding of the county Marine Resources Committee, an agreement regarding the environmental assessment of the Chimacum Confluence project, an agreement for $45,000 for a COVID-19 vaccine confidence project, an agreement with USAWA Consulting for $9,999 for an anti-racist literacy workshop, an agreement with Pacific Ace Surfacing Solutions LLC to repair the basketball courts at H.J. Carroll Park and an agreement with KPFF Consulting Engineers for $29,725 to provide construction support for the Thorndyke Road culvert replacement project.

The Washington State Association of Counties will hear a weekly update on COVID-19 when they meet at noon Monday.

Both Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate.

Port Angeles city

The Port Angeles city council will hear the planning commission’s affordable housing recommendations during a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The council also will meet in executive session during a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to discuss potential litigation.

The council will conduct public hearings on the 2023-2023 capital facilities plan, the transportation plan and the draft climate resiliency plan.

Port Townsend city

The Port Townsend City Council will conduct a public hearing on an ordinance to allow a longer time period for tent encampments when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Fire District 3

Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will discuss the mediated agreement with Steven Anders when they meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

The Gardiner Community Cemetery commissioners will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday.
