NEW AND OLD music and musicians mix it up for a lively weekend.

Port Angeles

■ Today at Castaways Restaurant and Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, it’s Jerry’s musical jam with guest singers Les Wamboldt and Terry Roszatycki from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. All the talent finalists compete tonight for the best-of-the-month award.

■ Today at Bar N9NE, 229 W. First St., the open mic starts at 9 p.m.

On Friday, DJ O.B.1 brings tunes at 9 p.m.

On Saturday, it’s DJ Bizzle from 9 p.m. on.

■ On Friday at The Metta Room, 132 E. Front St., Scott Sullivan plays at 9 p.m. $4 cover.

On Saturday, Satisfi, formerly known as Amongst the Trees, plays reggae at 9 p.m. $3 cover.

■ On Friday at the Fairmount Restaurant, 1127 W. U.S. Highway 101, there’s a jam session from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by Serendipity with special guest Les Wamboldt until 8 p.m. The band will close with a sing-along.

■ On Friday at the Lazy Moon Craft Tavern, 130 S. Lincoln St., Craig Buhler plays from 7:30 p.m. to about 8:30 p.m., followed by special guest Bob Lawrence from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

On Wednesdays, Ches Ferguson & Friends perform from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

■ On Friday at The Dam Bar, junction of U.S. Highway 101 and state Highway 112, Gordon Bowlby hosts a jam session from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

■ On Tuesdays at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St., Wally’s Boys play jazz from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. $5 cover; first-timers free.

Sequim

■ Today at Wind Rose Cellars, 143 W. Washington St., Cort Armstrong and friends entertain from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On Friday, the Cat’s Meow Jazz Trio, with Joey Lazzaro, Trevor Hanson and Jim Rosand, plays from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

On Saturday, Sarah Shea and Chez Jazz play from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

■ On Saturday at the Sequim VFW, 169 E. Washington St., the Old Sidekicks play from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

■ On Sunday at the Shipley Center, 921 E. Hammond St., Round Trip plays from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Admission is $4 for members, $5 for nonmembers. All are welcome.

Blyn

■ Today in Club Seven lounge at 7 Cedars Casino, 270756 U.S. Highway 101, dance to the Buck Ellard Band from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

On Friday, Big Dog Revue plays from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Port Ludlow

■ Today in the Fireside Room at the Resort at Port Ludlow, 1 Heron Road, Trevor Hanson plays from 5 p.m. to closing.

Port Townsend

■ Today at the Cellar Door, 940 Water St., come check out this week’s local DJ starting at 9 p.m.

On Friday, 2ality, featuring Steve Grimes and Steve Stusser, is on stage at 7 p.m. $5 cover.

On Saturday, The Purrs play at 9 p.m. $5 cover.

On Tuesdays, join the weekly jazz night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This week, jazz vocalist Jenny Davis with her Jazz Quintet plays the free event.

■ Every Thursday, The Boiler Room, 711 Water St., host an all-ages open mic at 8 p.m., with sign-ups at 7 p.m.

■ On Friday at the Uptown Pub & Grill, 1016 Lawrence St., Cradle Cap, Mood Ring and Pecos play from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m.

On Saturday, DJ Coarse spins from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

■ On Saturday at the Pourhouse, 2231 Washington St., the Dirty Beat Duo performs the “Three Is the Magic Number” anniversary party from 9 p.m. to midnight.

■ On Sunday at the Quimper Grange, 1219 Corona St., T-Claw calls an all-ages square dance with the Skookum Band from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. All dances are taught. Partners are not necessary. $5 cover.

■ Every Monday at Alchemy, 842 Washington St., Trevor Hanson plays guitar from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

■ Every Monday at The Tin Brick, 232 Taylor St., join in Jack Reid’s open mic. Sign-ups start at 6 p.m., the opening act is at 6:30 p.m. and the mic opens at 7 p.m. For more information, phone 360-379-4181.

Discovery Bay

■ Every Saturday at Snug Harbor Cafe, 281732 U.S. Highway 101, Skeeter Ezell plays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

High notes

■ On Friday at Rosewind Common House, 3131 Haines St., Port Townsend, Alexa Sunshine Rose plays acoustic music with Aimee Ringle, John Andrew Bliss and other friends during a concert and silent auction from 7:30 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. Admission is by donation on a sliding scale of $8 to $25. No street shoes. This is a scent-free facility.

On Sunday, Nan Evans calls the English country dance with the Rosewind Country Dance Band playing tunes from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a potluck to follow. $5 donation.

■ On Saturday at the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center, 923 Hazel Point Road, Coyle, The Fire Inside performs at 3 p.m. Admission is by donation. Visit www.coyleconcerts.com.

■ On Saturday at Fort Flagler State Park, 10541 Flagler Road, the Dukes of Dabob play in a benefit for Fort Flagler State Park from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Admission is $3 per individual, $5 per couple. The cost includes dance lessons. Bring a Discover Pass to enter the park.

■ On Saturday at the Black Diamond Community Hall, 1942 Black Diamond Road, south of Port Angeles, Marlin Prowell calls for the First Saturday Contra Dance with the Rosewind Country Dance Band playing lively music.

Dance instruction is at 7:30 p.m., and all dances are walked through. The all-ages event is from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Admission is $7.

■ On Tuesday at Seaport Landing, 1201 Hancock St., Port Townsend, Arts to Elders, in conjunction with the Northwind Arts Center, presents singer Carla Main accompanied by pianist Paul Rogers with tunes from the ’20s to the ’50s from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
