THERE’S PLENTY OF retro music to enjoy this weekend, along with some electric modern beats.
It’s NovemberFest in Port Angeles on Saturday, with plenty of entertainment from day into night.
Port Angeles
■ Today at Castaways Restaurant and Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, it’s Jerry’s country jam with guest musician Jim Henson from California joining Rusty and Duke from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Saturday, The Trespassers with Jim Lind, Ron Casey, Israel Butler and Rudy Maxion are on stage welcoming Peter Larsen with his electrified harmonica for dancing from 8 p.m. to midnight.
■ Today at Bar N9NE, 229 W. First St., the open mic hosted by Disco Stew starts at 9 p.m.
On Friday, the band Three Too Many is matched to local artists Jeff Tocher and Mike Pace for the Second Friday Art Rock (2FAR) at 8 p.m.
■ On Friday at The Metta Room, 132 E. Front St., Perfect by Tomorrow roars in from Stanwood with reggae, rock and hip-hop beats at 9 p.m. $3 cover.

■ On Friday at the Fairmount Restaurant, 1127 W. U.S. Highway 101, there’s a jam session from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by Dave and Rosalie Secord with Luck of the Draw and special guest guitarist and vocalist Ron Monroe bringing you soft rock and folk music until 8 p.m.
■ Every Friday at The Lazy Moon Craft Tavern, 130 S. Lincoln St., Dan Maguire plays original folk/Americana songs from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by special guests. This week, Paul Eyestone and Kevin Briggs play an evening of mellow acoustic tunes from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
On Tuesdays, Doug Parent plays his acoustic Americana from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Wednesdays, Ches Ferguson & Friends perform classic rock with a few originals thrown in from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
■ On Friday at The Dam Bar, junction of U.S. Highway 101 and state Highway 112, Gordon Bowlby hosts a jam session from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
■ On Saturday at Easy Street Coffee and Tea House, 128 W. First St., Mac Smith will host the open mic during NovemberFest Downtown from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. No cover songs; originals only.
■ On Monday at the Bushwhacker Restaurant, 1527 E. First St., Charlie Ferris entertains with his pre-Thanksgiving show and seasonal holiday hits from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. All ages welcome.
■ On Tuesdays at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St., Wally’s Boys play ballroom dance favorites from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. $5 cover; first-timers free.
West End
■ On Friday at the Forks Extension of Peninsula College, 481 S. Forks Ave., Crescent Blue plays a free bluegrass concert at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, Testify play danceable music from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
On Wednesday, dance to the tunes of the Danny Secord Trio from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
■ On Saturday at the Sequim VFW, 169 E. Washington St., Silver and Gold plays live classic country for dancing. The event is open to the public from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
■ On Sunday at the Sequim Prairie Grange Hall, 290 Macleay Road, the Buck Ellard Band plays for a dance from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is $10 per person; $15 a couple; $25 per family; children younger than 12 are admitted free.
■ On Wednesday at Nourish, 1345 S. Sequim Ave., Victor Reventlow hosts the open mic from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with sign-ups at 6 p.m.

■ On Friday at the Uptown Pub, 1016 Lawrence St., Simon Lynge, a local singer-songwriter, plays originals and covers starting at 9 p.m.
On Saturday, George & Debra play rock ’n’ roll and blues from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

■ On Saturday, there’s a contra dance at the Quimper Grange, 1219 Corona St., Port Townsend, featuring Wild Phil and the Buffalo Gals and Laura Me Smith as caller from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. $6 adult admission; $3 for those 18 to 3; free for those younger than 3.
■ On Saturday at Studio 36, 211 Taylor St., Port Townsend, three Seattle artists — butoh dancer Shoko Zama, installation artist David Nechak and musician Steve Peters — perform together in an experimental third-floor loft piece. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Admission is a suggested $10 donation.

■ On Sunday at the Rosewind Common House, 3131 Haines St., Port Townsend, experience an English country dance from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Nan Evans is the caller to the music of the Rosewind Country Dance Band.
The dance is followed by a potluck dinner.
This is a fragrance-free facility, and dancers are asked to bring dance shoes or slippers (no street shoes).
