Port Angeles
■ Today at Castaways Restaurant and Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, it’s Jerry’s country jam with guest singer Jim Lind from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The talent contest continues until the end of the month.
On Saturday, The Soul Ducks with Corey Crozier on blues harp play hopping rockabilly and blues tunes from 8 p.m. to midnight.
■ Today at Bar N9ne, 229 W. First St., the open mic starts at 9 p.m.
On Friday, Inherit Earth plays reggae at 9 p.m. $3 cover.
■ On Friday at The Metta Room, 132 E. Front St., Scott Sullivan with Casey Northern plays grassroots at 9 p.m. $3 cover.
On Saturday, Joy in Mudville rocks with old-time funk tunes from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. $3 cover.
■ On Friday at Black Diamond Community Hall, 1942 Black Diamond Road, there’s a harvest hoedown fundraiser to support farmers market operations with Hot Damn Scandal playing “tipsy American gypsy blues” from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
■ On Friday at the Fairmount Restaurant, 1127 W. U.S. Highway 101, a jam session from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. is followed by Rosalie and Dave Secord with the Luck of Draw Band and special guests the Evergreen Fiddle Kids until 8 p.m. This newly formed group plays old-time and folk music, a nice complement to the Secords’ soft rock/bluegrass variety.
On Sunday, Vienna and Dottie host the musical open mic from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
■ On Friday at The Dam Bar, junction of U.S. Highway 101 and state Highway 112, Gordon Bowlby hosts a jam session from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
■ On Saturday at Coog’s Budget CDs, 111 W. Front St., a pre-Halloween party featuring MCFD, Static Illusion and the Estafets starts at 6 p.m. $3 cover if you wear a costume; $5 if you don’t.
■ On Saturday at Coo Coo Nest, 1017 E. First St., Ex-Gods, Disenchanter and Teepee Creeper play for Jon’s Pre-40th B-Day Pig Roast, featuring a CD release for C.F.A. (Cody Foster Army), at 9 p.m.
■ Every Tuesday at The Lazy Moon Craft Tavern, 130 S. Lincoln St., Doug Parent plays his acoustic Americana from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Wednesdays, Ches Ferguson & Friends perform classic rock with a few originals thrown in from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

■ On Friday at the American Legion Hall No. 26, 209 Monroe St., Port Townsend, the KPTZ (91.9 FM) Fall Fling dance party benefit features the rocking music of Floating Otis from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. For all ages. There’s also a beer and wine garden and a silent auction.
Tickets are $10 on sale at the Food Co-op, 414 Kearney St., and the lower level of Quimper Sound, 211 Taylor St.
■ On Friday in the Peninsula College PUB, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles, teens and college students can get down to the Halloween dance music from DJ O.B.1 at 9 p.m. $3 for students; $5 for guests.
■ On Friday, the Unity Spiritual Enrichment Center, 3918 San Juan Ave. in Port Townsend, features Celtic harpist David Michael, guitarist Michael Mandrell and singer-songwriter and harpist Ruth Beck.
The all-ages event begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission at the door is a sliding-scale fee of $10 to $20.
■ On Saturday at the Quimper Grange, 1210 Corona St., Port Townsend, the band Whozyamama plays Cajun and zydeco for the all-ages dance from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Admission is $12.
■ On Sunday in the Chimacum High School auditorium, 91 West Valley Road, the Port Townsend Community Orchestra has a free (donations accepted) classical concert from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. featuring Port Angeles student Michael Helwick.
