Living alone workshop offers practical advice in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — Dr. Carolyn DeSalvo and Rosalinda Castiglioni will present “Living Alone Now” from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 26.

The workshop will be held in the Clallam County PUD offices, 104 Hooker Road.

The workshop is designed for people who have suffered the loss of a life partner and are now shopping and cooking for one.

DeSalvo and Castiglioni will offer tips for shopping in small quantities, varied and nutritious menus, ready-made options and the storage and use of leftovers.

The workshop is free, but space is limited so pre-registration is required by calling 360-452-1511 or emailing vsm@vhocc.org.

Future workshops will address shopping and cooking for one, fraud protection and consumer protection, self-care and a question-and-answer session with Mark Harvey.

Harvey is a columnist for the Peninsula Daily News. He writes the weekly Help Line column.

VHOCC does not charge for its services and does not bill any government agency, depending instead on private donations and bequests.

For more information, call 360-452-1511 or visit www.vhocc.org.
