Locust Street Taxi will perform in free outdoor concerts in Port Angeles and Port Townsend this week.
The group will offer horns, harmony and humor from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today during the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Concert on the Pier series and from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in Port Townsend.
The Port Angeles concerts are every Wednesday through Sept. 5 at City Pier — a no-smoking, no-skateboards, alcohol-free venue.
Some chairs are available for disabled people and early arrivals.
Next week’s concert will feature crooner Charlie Ferris.
The Port Townsend Concerts on the Dock music series is held every Thursday through Sept. 6 at the Pope Marine Park-City Dock Civic Plaza.
Music is sponsored by local businesses, the Port Townsend Main Street Program, Puget Sound Energy and the city of Port Townsend.
Food vendors and a beer and wine garden are available.
Seating opens at 5 p.m.
More free music is scheduled this weekend in Port Townsend.
The Friends of Fort Flagler summer concert series will continue Saturday with The Blackberry Bushes at 7 p.m. at Fort Flagler State Park’s Battery Bankhead, 10541 Flagler Road.
On Sunday at 3 p.m., the Port Townsend Summer Band will perform at Chetzemoka Park.
On Tuesday, Sequim’s Music in the Park series hosted Karaoke Idol, a contest for nonprofessionals 13 and older.
It was part of the city of Sequim’s Music in the Park series from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Tuesday at the James Center for the Performing Arts through Aug. 28.
Next Tuesday’s concert will be Cascada performing Latin guitar world fusion.
