VICTORIA — An unidentified man slipped off the car deck of the MV Coho this afternoon and into the waters of Inner Harbor just as the 341-foot ferry was pulling away to return to Port Angeles.
Because he fell out the forward car hold rather than off the much higher passenger deck, his fall was about 13 feet, the Victoria Times Colonist reported.
The Coho crew threw him a life ring, and a boater in a Zodiac immediately plucked him from the water. Paramedics attended him on shore.
