SEQUIM — A Blyn man who spent Wednesday night in an overturned vehicle teetering on the edge of a mountainside slope has returned home.
Mike Gilmore, 59, was rescued about 7:30 a.m. Thursday after more than 12 hours in the overturned Jeep Wagoneer, found off Forest Service Road No. 28 eight miles from U.S. Highway 101, south of Palo Alto Road.
Gilmore was treated at the scene by Clallam County Fire District No. 3 personnel, before being transferred to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles for observation.
He was later released, hospital officials said.
