The U.S. Coast Guard is joining forces with the Canadian Navy and Air Force this week to conduct security exercises in the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Esquimalt Harbour.
The Coast Guard Group Port Angeles-based cutter Cuttyhunk is among the vessels participating in the exercise, dubbed “Sea Barrier,”‘ which started Tuesday and continues through Friday.
The exercise aims to foster cooperation and coordination between the Canadian Navy and its partners, including the U.S. Coast Guard.
