The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission meets in Port Angeles today to discuss the future of a Hoko River state park and adding to the land for a future park planned on the Miller Peninsula.
The public meeting begins at 9 a.m. at the Vern Burton Center, 308 E. Fourth St.
West End residents have been pushing for several years to establish Hoko River State Park, which includes parcels north and south of state Highway 112 near the Hoko River mouth. The commission is not expected to make a decision about development of the park.
