PORT ANGELES — Totem poles believed to have been stolen from the Quileute Tribe’s 101 Building in Forks have been recovered, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said.
Detective Cody Anderson was following a lead in the theft investigation that led him to a residence in Kitsap County, where the totem poles were discovered, the Sheriff’s Office stated in a press release.
The totem poles are about 15 years old and valued at $10,000 each, La Push Police Chief Mike Foster said.
The investigation, which began in October after the totem poles were discovered to be missing, continues to be ongoing, the Sheriff’s Office said.
