More snow and winter flurries are likely from about the Elwha River east as well as in the mountains and along Hood Canal this afternoon. Here is the latest National Weather Service advisory:
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM PDT THIS
EVENING.
SNOW SHOWERS ALONG THE STRAIT OF JUAN DE FUCA WILL INCREASE TODAY
AS NORTHEASTERLY UPSLOPE FLOW STRENGTHENS. THE AIR MASS WILL
REMAIN COOL AND UNSTABLE WITH SNOW LEVELS NEAR THE SURFACE. TOTAL
SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED WITH LOCALLY
HIGHER AMOUNTS NEAR THE OLYMPIC MOUNTAINS. LESSER AMOUNTS OF A
TRACE UP TO 1 INCH OF SNOW IS EXPECTED RIGHT ALONG THE WATER.
SNOW SHOWERS WILL DECREASE THIS EVENING.
