MOUNT WALKER — A 63-year-old man was airlifted to a Seattle hospital after he was ejected from his motorcycle.
Dae H. Kang of Mukilteo was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 101 at milepost 299 about 10:54 a.m. Friday when he failed to negotiate a left turn on a downhill segment of the road, the State Patrol said.
The motorcycle left the road to the right and entered the northbound ditch. Kang was thrown from the motorcycle and came to rest with the vehicle in the ditch.
Kang was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. He was in satisfactory condition on Monday, hospital spokesperson Susan Gregg said. Kang was wearing a helmet, and neither drugs nor alcohol were involved, the State Patrol said.
The 2021 Kawasaki motorcycle was totally destroyed, the State Patrol said.
