BRINNON — A motorcycle rider who was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle earlier this week remained in serious condition Tuesday.
Danny J. Harrelson, 63, of Port Angeles crashed the Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was riding Sunday morning on U.S. Highway 101 south of Brinnon after he failed to negotiate a curve, according to the State Patrol.
Harrelson was still in the intensive care unit at Harborview on Tuesday, hospital spokesperson Susan Gregg said.
The crash occurred at milepost 309 and blocked the northbound lane at about 11:09 a.m. Sunday.
Brinnon Fire Chief Tim Manly said Harrelson suffered “multi-system trauma” when he left the southbound roadway and drove into a ditch.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, according to the State Patrol.
