PORT LUDLOW — A Puyallup motorcyclist was taken by helicopter to a Seattle hospital after a wreck on state Highway 104 on Sunday afternoon.
According to a State Patrol report, Marcus J. Ross, 21, was riding a white 2007 Honda CBR600 westbound on Highway 104, one mile east of Sandy Shore Road.
At about 3:30 p.m., Ross attempted to pass another vehicle, lost control and crossed the eastbound lanes.
He and the motorcycle came to rest on the eastbound shoulder.
Ross was taken by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment.
His condition was not immediately available Sunday.
The State Patrol said the cause of the wreck was unsafe passing.
Ross was wearing a helmet, but according to the report, he did not have a motorcycle license endorsement.
There was no indication drugs or alcohol contributed to the wreck, the State Patrol said.
He will be cited for second-degree negligent driving, the report said.
