A Port Angeles motorcyclist airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a two-vehicle wreck south of Quilcene on Saturday was listed in satisfactory condition Tuesday.
James W. Anderson, 43, of Port Angeles was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on U.S. Highway 101 about four miles south of Quilcene at about 3:35 p.m. Saturday when he crossed the center line and struck a Dodge Ram driven by Keith Richards of Olympia, 49, according to a State Patrol memo.
Anderson was thrown from the motorcycle and came to rest in the road.
Driver uninjured
The Dodge stopped in the northbound ditch, and its driver was uninjured.
As of Tuesday, Anderson was out of intensive care.
State Patrol said drugs or alcohol were involved in the wreck.
The road was closed for about five hours and 35 minutes.
