A motorcycle rider and his passenger remained in stable condition on Monday at a Seattle hospital following a crash Friday, a hospital spokesperson said.
Both Daniel F. McReynolds, 29, of Kelso and Lucy Smith, 34, of La Push were in stable condition Monday afternoon at Harborview Medical Center, the spokesperson said.
McReynolds was driving a 2003 Harley-Davidson Fltri westbound on state Highway 110 at about 8:28 p.m. Friday when he failed to negotiate a curve to the left, State Patrol troopers said. The motorcycle left the roadway to the right, and he and his passenger, Smith, were ejected, according to the State Patrol memo. They were airlifted to Harborview.
Both were wearing helmets. Drugs or alcohol were involved, the State Patrol said, adding that charges were pending against McReynolds.
