PORT ANGELES — The opening round of the 2015 Northwest Cup downhill mountain bike series kicks off this weekend at Dry Hill.
This event also is the first stop of the U.S. Pro Gravity Tour and will bring some of the world’s best racers to the tracks at Dry Hill, which is just 3 miles west of Haggens on Highway 101.
Spectators can watch the action Saturday and Sunday via a shuttle service from Harbinger Winery between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. both days.
For $5, they will be taken to and from the venue, without the hassle of trying to park (parking is extremely limited).
The shuttle will be making round trips throughout the day.
Spectators are asked to follow the rules posted at the bottom of the tracks, and encouraged to walk up and find a spot to watch.
Or they can watch the last section from the finish line area.
Food by Bighorn BBQ and espresso by Java Gypsy will be available on-site.
