Neah Bay: Memorial on Friday for Coast Guardsman killed in Iraq war

A memorial for U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Nathan Bruckenthal will be held Friday at 5 p.m. in the Neah Bay High School gymnasium.

Anybody who knew Bruckenthal is invited to attend.

Bruckenthal, who served at Station Neah Bay from spring 2001 to summer 2003, was killed in the Persian Gulf last weekend in a suicide bombing attack on an Iraqi oil terminal.

He is the son of Ric Bruckenthal of Northport, N.Y., and Laurie Bullock of Ashburn, Va.
