Neah Bay: Two police cars set afire

NEAH BAY — Police are investigating an apparent arson that destroyed two patrol cars early Friday morning in front of the Neah Bay police station.

One officer who was in the vicinity was treated for inhaling chemicals used to extinguish the blaze, Police Chief Karl Gilje said.

No one else was injured in the fire.

The cars, four-door Ford Crown Victoria sedans, were unoccupied and parked at the Police Department when they were set afire at about 2:45 a.m., Gilje said.
