The North Olympic Peninsula’s best visitor guide — chronicling everything that’s great to see and do in our Olympics paradise — appears exclusively as a sneak peek with today’s editions of the Peninsula Daily News.
It’s PDN readers’ preview look before tens of thousands of complimentary copies of the spring/summer North Olympic Peninsula Newcomers’ and Visitors’ Guide find their way to visitor centers and other public contact points later this week to herald the start of the Peninsula’s tourist season.
The Guide also will show up in its entirety on www.peninsuladailynews.com later this week for everyone outside the PDN’s North Olympic Peninsula circulation area.
As in the past, the newest edition of the Guide features chapters on Port Townsend-East Jefferson, Sequim-Dungeness Valley, Port Angeles, Forks-West End, the North/West Coast, Victoria and, of course, Olympic National Park.
In addition to a popular section for Twilight fans, the Guide introduces a section to enlighten visitors about the removal of the two Elwha River dams starting at the end of summer.
And for tourists who carry wireless smartphones, the Guide inaugurates high-tech QR codes that will instantly link the user to more information about an attraction.
Look for it with today’s PDN at more than 200 locations in Clallam and Jefferson counties.
Be sure to pick up extra free copies starting later this week to send to friends and family for their summer visits! And get ready for summer!
