SEQUIM — Clallam County Fair royalty will hold a food drive in support of the Sequim Food Bank at QFC, 990 E. Washington St., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The food bank is in need of brown rice, beans and peanut butter.
In order to also help those affected by recent wildfires, all financial donations will be given to a food bank in devastated areas in Eastern Washington.

Sea star survey
PORT ANGELES — A Citizen Science Sea Star Wasting Survey will take place at the Freshwater Bay County Park boat ramp, 300 Freshwater Bay Road, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday, July 27.
This free monthly survey assesses local populations for sea star wasting disease.
In June, volunteers saw 6 percent of sea stars showing signs.
Wear layers and boots that can get muddy.

Book discussion
PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Literary Society will hold a book discussion at the library, 2210 S. Peabody St., at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
The group focuses on modern and classic fiction.
This month, the society discusses Snow Falling on Cedars by David Guterson.

Yoga classes set
SEQUIM — Farm Flow yoga classes will be held at the Old Dungeness Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Road, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. this Wednesday and Aug. 6.
There is a suggested donation of $8; first-timers are admitted free.
The class is led by Julia Buggy.
The class features alignment cues, core work and moving with breath, followed by a deep relaxation.
All ages and levels are welcome. Participants are asked to bring their own mats.
