CHIMACUM — The Elementary Math Curriculum Committee for the Chimacum School District is recommending for adoption an elementary math program called Bridges in Mathematics.
The program can be viewed at www.math learningcenter.org.
The district is seeking public comment Wednesday through Friday, May 5.
The proposed curriculum is designed for kindergarten through fifth grades, according to a press release.
The materials were selected by a K-5 committee of district instructors over a two-year review period.

PORT ANGELES — The city of Port Angeles will be unable to accept online utility bill payments over the first weekend in May.
Due to scheduled maintenance, online utility accounts will be unavailable from 5 p.m. Friday, May 5 until midnight Sunday, May 7, according to a press release.
Customers are asked to complete account transactions prior to this period.
