The annual Great Strait Sale is coming up.
The sale — a collection of garage sales on 61 miles along the Strait of Juan de Fuca Scenic Byway from the U.S. Highway 101/state Highway 112 junction west of Port Angeles to Neah Bay — will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Community sites for flea market-style sales are planned at Joyce Depot Museum, Clallam Bay Visitor Center and the Neah Bay Village Market.

Audition dates for PA playhouse
PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Community Playhouse will hold auditions for its production of “Heisenburg” from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Auditions will also be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the playhouse, 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
Auditionees who are male are suggested to be between 60 to 75 years old and women 40 to 55 years old.
According to a news release: “The play is a two-character — one man and one woman — piece that chronicles the meeting of two very different individuals who find a connection in spite of their seemingly great differences.”
It also contains some adult material, according to the release.
Rehearsals will begin in mid-January.
Performances will run beginning Feb. 23-25, continue March 2-4 and conclude March 9-11.

Visioning meeting
SEQUIM — The city invites all residents, business owners and churches within the city limit to attend a Neighborhood Visioning Meeting on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
During the meeting at the Guy Cole Convention Center in Carrie Blake Park, 202 N. Blake Ave., attendees can meet neighbors, learn the process for “naming” a neighborhood and help identify service projects for neighborhoods.
A dinner will be provided by First Federal.
The meeting is sponsored by the city of Sequim, Habitat for Humanity Neighborhood Revitalization and First Federal.

Donation accepted
PORT ANGELES — The United Way of Clallam County recently accepted a $3,916 donation from the US Bank Foundation.
US Bank employees Lisa Meyer and Chris Benson presented the check to United Way’s Christy Smith, CEO, and Hayley Pearce, resource development manager.
The goal of the United Way 2017 Campaign is to raise $800,000 to benefit health and human service partners in the community, according to a news release.
