SEQUIM — Artist Shirley Rudolf of Sequim has received a special recognition award in the 16th annual Contemporary Art Juried Online International Art Exhibition, hosted by Upstream People Gallery.
The exhibition received approximately 220 art entries from around the world, and 43 artists were selected by the juror Laurence Bradshaw, professor of art at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
“Shirley Rudolf . . . has a very fine acrylic painting of a flower with a great sense of color in ‘Blue Anemone,’” Bradshaw said.
Rudolf said springtime is when she gets her inspiration.
“When springs comes, I instantly grab my camera and head for the gardens around my neighborhood,” she said. “This is when I find nature’s surprises.”
The exhibition is online at www.upstreampeoplegallery.com and continues indefinitely.
