Scattered electrical outages remained Sunday afternoon on the North Olympic Peninsula after crews had worked round-the-clock since Thursday’s windstorm.
The storm, which caused more than 10,000 electrical outages in Clallam and Jefferson counties, was the second on the Peninsula within a week. A storm on Dec. 14 had plunged 90 percent of the Clallam County electrical customers into darkness while largely leaving East Jefferson County unscathed.
By 3 p.m. Sunday, the Clallam County Public Utility District reported three outages on the east side of the county. Jefferson County PUD reported two outages, one near Port Ludlow and one near Coyle.
