PORT LUDLOW — Overnight travelers on State Highway 104 between Highway 19 and the Hood Canal Bridge will want to plan extra time during their trips this week.
Beginning Monday and continuing Wednesday, crews working for the state Department of Transportation will set girders on a temporary bypass that will guide travelers around the work zone when it opens. The bypass is expected to open July 14.
Flaggers will hold traffic as trucks exit and enter the highway with the girders on Highway 104 at Shine Creek.
Travelers can expect up to 20-minute traffic stops from 11 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday.
