PORT TOWNSEND — Jefferson County’s Shooting in the County Code No. 8.50 covers the establishment, modification or termination of no shooting areas in unincorporated parts of the county.
There are currently 11 no shooting areas in Jefferson County where it is unlawful to discharge a firearm across, in or into a no shooting area (with certain exceptions).
Violators can be arrested and charged with a misdemeanor.
The no shooting areas in Jefferson County are Kala Point, Port Ludlow, Brinnon (Black Point), Brinnon, Brinnon (Triton Cove), Brinnon (Olympic Canal Tracts), South Coyle Peninsula, Paradise Bay, Chimacum Creek, Tala Shore and Ocean Grove.
