Burn bans have been lifted across the North Olympic Peninsula after the state Department of Natural Resources lowered fire risk in Clallam and Jefferson counties to low.
Burn bans in both counties were lifted Wednesday, according to officials.
Fire restrictions generally are lifted Oct. 1; they remained in place in both Peninsula counties because fire danger was ranked as moderate after minimal rainfall.
Outdoor burning regulations remain in effect.
