PORT ANGELES — A Forks man and a LaPush woman both pleaded not guilty to charges in the burglary of $7,000 worth of cash and checks from a Forks pizza shop.
Tyeson Frank LaGambina, 24, and Sarah Ellisyn Burnside, 18, have been charged with one count each of first-degree theft, second-degree burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
Police say that they two stole cash and a pizza delivery car from Pacific Pizza at 870 S. Forks Ave.
They appeared in Clallam County Superior Court on Friday.
LaGambina, who remained in the Clallam County jail Saturday on $25,000 bail, is set to next appear in Clallam County Superior Court for a status hearing Aug. 2.
A status hearing for Burnside, who is not listed on the jail roster, has been scheduled for Sept. 5.
The charges stem from the pair allegedly breaking into the pizza place on June 10 and making off with a sedan used for deliveries and a safe containing cash and checks.
Burnside later told police that she and LaGambina burned the checks found in the safe and that she ditched the sedan, a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu, off a 50-foot bluff north of Forks, about 2 miles east of U.S. Highway 101.
