President Barack Obama has embarked on a three-day tour to raise money for Democrats, including Sen. Patty Murray in Seattle on Tuesday.
All together, Obama will visit Wisconsin, California, Washington, Ohio and Florida before returning to the nation’s capital Wednesday night and then a family vacation at Martha’s Vinyard, Mass.
Each campaign stop involves tight races in states that could be vital to Obama himself in 2012.
In Seattle, Obama will headline campaign events for Murray, and he’ll also discuss the new health care law at a meeting of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. Air Force One will land and take off from Boeing Field, not Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
Murray is expected to be in a tight battle with former state Sen. Dino Rossi, who is likely to be her opponent after Tuesday’s statewide primary election.
