PORT ANGELES — A naughty elf apparently put Christmas deer decorations at Ambrosia adult specialty shop in Port Angeles in a compromising position Tuesday night.
The store’s owner, Janet Fuller, complained to police about the position of two ornamental deer on the front awning, one of which Fuller described as “frolicking in a most inappropriate manner with another deer.”
To position the deer, the unknown perpetrator had to climb onto the roof and rip one of the deer from its mounts, damaging the awning.
Dollar estimates on the damage are unknown, she said.
Fuller is concerned that someone trespassing on the store’s roof could be electrocuted, and also that passers-by might think employees of the adult novelty and clothing store at 507 E. First St. had intentionally “manipulated” the deer.
“We had nothing to do with it,” Fuller said.
“We’ll call decorations for the year a wash.”
