After five consecutive years of six-figure losses, Olympic Medical Center is moving closer to the sale of the nursing home it owns in Sequim.
Eric Lewis, chief financial officer of the medical center, said the deal with Oregon-based Avamere Healthcare should be ready for a vote by medical center commissioners in mid-April.
Avamere and medical center officials have been negotiating the sale for about eight months, according to Lewis.
The transaction would begin with an agreement for Avamere to manage the 125-bed Olympic Care and Rehabilitation Center at 1000 S. Fifth Ave.
