SEQUIM — Dr. Gur Raj Deol, a pulmonologist with the Olympic Medical Physicians Specialty Clinic in Sequim, was published in the January issue of Chest, the peer-reviewed journal of the American College of Chest Physicians.
Deol, the primary author of the article “Ultrasound Accurately Reflects the Jugular Venous Examination but Underestimates Central Venous Pressure,” performed the research during his pulmonary and critical care fellowship, OMC announced.
“Only a small number of physicians are ever published in a prestigious journal such as Chest,” said Dr. Rebecca Corley, a pulmonologist at OMP Specialty Clinic — Sequim.
“We are proud of Dr. Deol’s accomplishment, and we appreciate all the hard work that went into his research and authoring of the article.”
Deol joined the OMP Specialty Clinic division in July and sees patients in Sequim and Port Angeles.
He also provides pulmonary and critical-care services to inpatients at Olympic Medical Center’s hospital in Port Angeles.
Deol completed his fellowship training at University of Iowa Medical Center.
